Claremore’s Tennessee Suiter – Football Spotlight – Presented by Backwoods Chiropractic

Claremore’s Tennessee Suiter

Seeing Tennessee Suiter on the football field is just a small sample of his skill. When not tossing passes as a quarterback for the Claremore Zebras, he can be found on stage reciting lines. His involvement in the drama program and musical theater is shaping his future.

Now a CHS senior, Tennessee plans to continue his love of the arts by studying musical theater at Coastal Carolina or Ithaca. In addition to school productions, he plays in shows in the Tulsa area with Jaime Highfill’s Intune program.

His senior year will be busy as he also enjoys the time spent with his brothers on the football field. “Football has taught me the importance of hard work and brotherhood,” he says. “I first started playing football at five years old because my dad said I would like it and he was right.”

Tennessee puts all his passion into each project, whether that is on the football field or a theater production. “At any moment it could be taken away,” he says. “Give all you have, you don’t get another shot,” is advice Tennessee takes to heart.

Tennessee is proud to represent his school. He wants people to know that Claremore is a good place with a great staff.

The fun throwing competitions with Coach Grimett and the other quarterbacks are what Tennessee will remember most fondly about football. Teammate and fellow quarterback Blake McCuan leave the biggest impression on him. Even when competing for the same position, they always have each other’s backs.

His favorite teacher is Mrs. Savage, who first encouraged him to pursue acting as a career. His favorite subject is drama because it’s what he loves to do. Tennessee was excited to have the opportunity to visit New York, where he experienced theater on a grand scale. “Seeing a bunch of Broadway shows,” he said, was the best vacation ever.

He sends thanks to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, his parents, coaches and teammates. “My parents,” says Tennessee, “they’ve put so much into me, I want it to be worth it.”
