9 Questions with Claremore’s Ella Ramsey – Presented by Rib Crib

VYPE: What grade are you in , what position do you play and when did you start playing volleyball?
Ella Ramsey: I am a senior at Claremore High School and I am a six-rotation outside hitter. I started playing volleyball in the 7th grade.

VYPE: What is your favorite memory or moment as a player for Claremore?
ER: My favorite memory as a player is when we beat Sapulpa in five sets in the regional championship to advance to state this year. 

VYPE: Has anyone on the team surprised you this season with their play or just impressed you this season?
ER: Addison Doyle and Grace Baughman have really stepped up this year and have both became key players on Claremore.


VYPE: Which teammate keeps everyone laughing, who is the most serious?
ER: Marley White keeps everyone laughing and the most serious is Eva Boddi. 

VYPE: How do you mentally prepare yourself for competition?
ER: I mentally prepare myself for competition by listening to music before games. 


VYPE: Do you have a favorite subject in school and a favorite teacher?
ER: My favorite subject in school is science and Mr. Riggs is my favorite teacher!

VYPE: What makes CHS a great place for you as a student-athlete?
ER: CHS gives many opportunities for student athletes with our amazing gyms and facilities. 


VYPE: What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
ER: The best advice I’ve ever received is to become who I want to be, and my time will come when it’s right. 


VYPE: What’s the goal for life after high school?
ER: I will play college volleyball, still undecided on where and become a Medical Dosimetrist.
