Q&A with Verdigris’ Marin Fink – Presented by RibCrib

VYPE: What do you love most about being a student-athlete at Verdigris HS?

Marin Fink: I love that Verdigris is a small school and town. Since it’s so small I feel like I’m able to have a tighter bond with my teammates. I have also been playing soccer with lots of these girls from a young age.

VYPE: What grade are you in and what position do you play?

MF: I’m a sophomore and I mostly play forward and offensive mid. I can play almost every position too.

VYPE: How long have you played soccer and who is your favorite player?

MF: I have been playing soccer since I was five years old, and my favorite player is Ronaldinho Gaucho.

VYPE: What do you love most about your teammates?

MF: I love my teammates hard work ethic and encouragement. We’re always there for one another and are each other’s biggest cheerleaders. We love to laugh and make jokes as well.

VYPE: What’s your favorite subject in school and do you have a favorite teacher?

MF: My favorite subject is English. My favorite teacher is Mr. Clark my math teacher.

VYPE: What would you like to do after you graduate?

MF: When I graduate, I plan to go to college playing soccer and become a dental hygienist.

VYPE: What is your favorite pre-game and post-game meal?

MF: My favorite meal of all time is a cheeseburger with all the fixings. I would eat a cheeseburger before or after a game.

VYPE: If you could watch a match anywhere in the world, where would you go?

MF: I would love to see a match in Brazil.

VYPE: What part of your game is most improved coming into this season?

VYPE: Which teammates have impressed you this season?

MF: I’ve been impressed with a lot of my teammates this year and I think we all are continuing to grow as individuals but a couple teammates who have stood out to me are Gaberiella Garza and Addison Bevard.
