2025-2026 Sequoyah Claremore Boys Basketball

SEQUOYAH CLAREMORE EAGLES

Coach: BROCK THOMAS

2024-25 Record: 29-3

OUTLOOK

The team that won 29 games last season and worked their way to the state semifinals last season has taken a big hit from graduation that has left coach Brock Thomas with a young team and open positions needing to be filled by young players.

Sequoyah lost 90 percent of their team scoring and minutes from last year. This year we will have only two seniors. Even with the inexperience we had a strong showing this summer. We fill really good about our 9th-11th graders and what they will all be able to bring to the floor,” coach Thomas said.

Gabe Paura (5-9, Sr.) and Acee Proctor (6-3, Sr.) are the two seniors coach Thomas mentioned. Paura will play guard with Proctor playing forward. Both players bring some needed experience to the court and will be called on to lead this team into the new season.

Mason Weeks (5-9, Jr.) and Wittaker Callery (5-11, Jr.) are two guards that coach Thomas will lean on this season as he looks to develop a lineup that can compete every night. Weeks and Callery bring a defensive presence to the court for the Eagles and will need step up on the offensive end to help this team win games.

Overall, the Eagles are going to see several young players on the court this season as they look for their new identity as a team. Look for the seniors to help younger player mature into their roles and gain confidence with every outing.
