VYPE: Claire, what position are you playing on the volleyball team and what age did you start playing?
Claire Hardage: I’m a middle blocker, and I started playing volleyball when I was 12.
VYPE: Now that you’re a senior, what is one of your favorite memories competing for CHS?
CH: My favorite memories from Claremore volleyball have been being able to go to state my freshman and junior years.
VYPE: What have you enjoyed most about this season?
CH: What I’ve enjoyed most this season is getting to know all the underclassmen.
VYPE: Which teammate has impressed you this season?
CH: Maise Stagner-Speer has impressed me the most through her ability to come in a as a freshman and give her all to our team.
VYPE: Who keeps everyone laughing and who is the most serious?
CH: Marley White keeps everyone laughing, and Eva Boddi is the most serious.
VYPE: What makes CHS a great place to be a student-athlete?
CH: CHS gives all their students, but especially their student athletes lots of opportunity through block scheduling, and time to work during encore.
VYPE: Do you have a favorite subject or favorite teacher?
CH: My favorite subject is math, and my favorite teacher is Ms. Garroutte.
VYPE: What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?
CH: The best advice I’ve ever received is to not take everything so seriously.
VYPE: What are your plans for life after high school?
CH: My goal is to attend The University of Oklahoma and pursue a career in the medical field.
