VYPE: What grade are you in and what sports do you play?
Tyler: I am a sophomore at Claremore High School and I play baseball
VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?
Tyler: The relationships and bonds that we build. You become so close with your team they’re like your brothers, and when you go through hardships and tough times on the field it brings you even closer learning to grind and fight together.
VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?
Tyler: I’m passionate about my sport because you only get 4 years of playing this game in high school and if you’re fortunate another 4 in college and maybe pro. You never know when your last game is going to be so I take that and leave it all on the field every game in case it’s my last.
VYPE: Who inspires you?
Tyler: Coach Gelnar for sure, he came into a program that needed some guidance off of a disappointing season and he delivered. One of the best humans off the field you will ever meet. He has molded me into a person I never thought I could be with mental training and personal talks. I could never pay him back for what he has done for me.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?
Tyler: Favorite teacher is definitely Mrs Lahr, she is one of the best in the business and does not hold back. She prepares us for the real world by not sugarcoating things and making sure we are on top of things and I thank her for that.
VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?
Tyler: “Remember there is always someone watching” do the right thing on and off the field, you never know who it can impact
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?
Tyler: I would go to Hawaii for sure and see the beaches with a nice beach house. I would take My family and maybe some pop tarts.
VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?
Tyler: A double cheeseburger with fries and a shake from our local Braums.
VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.
Tyler: I would like to give a shout out to my mom and dad, they have supported me through this whole process and I don’t tell them enough but I really appreciate everything they do for me and it doesn’t go unnoticed.
