9 Questions with Lanie Thompson – Presented by Front Porch Bakery

VYPE: Lanie, what position are you playing on the softball team and how long have you played the sport?

Lanie Thompson: I play 3rd base and I pitch. I’ve played softball since I was in T-ball.

VYPE: Which teammate has impressed you this season?
LT: Regan Hanson because she had a lot of fight to get back after getting hurt.

VYPE: How do you prepare yourself for competition?

LT: I envision myself playing good.

VYPE: Which teammate keeps everyone laughing and who is the most serious?

LT: I would say Kaylee keeps everyone laughing and the most serious I would say is Lexis.


VYPE: Do you have a favorite memory or moment as a varsity player?

LT: My favorite moments are dancing around with my teammates after games.

VYPE: In the classroom do you have a favorite subject or teacher?

LT: My favorite subject is science, and my favorite teacher is coach Dorsch.

VYPE: What do you expect from yourself when you step onto the field?

LT: To give 100 percent effort but have fun.

VYPE: Why do you love Sequoyah?

LT: I feel like the coaches care a lot about each individual athlete.

VYPE: What are your plans after high school?
LT: To be a CRNA or a labor and delivery nurse.
