VYPE: Ava, let’s talk some Claremore volleyball. Which teammate is the most vocal and who keeps everyone laughing?
Ava Turner: The most vocal is probably Grace Baughman and keeping us laughing is Mariyah or Liv.
VYPE: What do you love most about this team and your teammates?
AT: The friendships I have made with my teammates, makes it really fun to play on a team together.
VYPE: What is the strength of your game and what have you worked to improve the most?
AT: My strength is I think I am smart about where I place the ball and something I want to work on is more power.
VYPE: Did you have any surprises this season?
AT: We broke the record here at Claremore for most wins in a season.
VYPE: What’s your favorite subject in school and who is your favorite teacher?
AT: My favorite subject is probably science, and my favorite teacher is Mr. Riggs.
VYPE: Who inspires you?
AT: My mom and dad because they are both very hard working and very caring for their kids.
VYPE: Which former teammate left an impression on you?
AT: A former teammate that left an impression on me was Claire Hardage. I loved Claire, and she was very supportive and kind.
VYPE: What’s your favorite thing to eat before a game and after a game?
AT: My favorite thing to eat before a game is probably a granola bar of some sort and fruit and some candy. After is probably some type of fast food like McDonald’s or Taco Bell.
VYPE: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
AT: In my free time I like to hang out with friends, practice volleyball, and bake.
