A Closer Looks at Claremore Swimming – Presented by RibCrib

When Claremore Swimming enters the pool, no one is intimidated by their numbers, but they do know they are bringing swimmers capable of putting up solid numbers and making their way to the podium.

Head coach Kimberly Ward said the team is small, but mighty.

“We have one junior, one sophomore and one freshman. Our first meet of the season, we walked away with three 1st places, one 2nd place, one 5th place and one 6th place,” Ward said. “Summer Pfeiffer is a junior is going to have a great season. Grace Noviski is a freshman and is already catching up to competitive seniors. She will be one to watch this season.”

Pfeiffer is the definition of a student-athlete. A great teammate and swimmer, Pfeiffer loves to cheer on her teammates and always has a positive attitude on deck. Noviski has come into the program and proved she belongs with the other varsity swimmers in the pool. Also look for Keldan Wheeler (So.), who continues to work hard to give the Zebras another competitive swimmer.

Big meets are on the horizon as the Zebras are set to attend meets at Union High School on January 23rd and Oologah High School on January 25th. Regionals are set for February 7th-8th with the state swim meet taking place on February 21st-22nd.
