VYPE: Coach Roper, how many years have you coached?

Lynn Roper: Second year as a varsity head coach. Over 15 years coaching experience.

VYPE: Do you teach? If so, what subject?

LR: I’m a Geometry teacher.

VYPE: As you approach opening night, how is your team shaping up?

LR: We should increase our win total from last year.

VYPE: What can we expect to see from the Claremore Zebras this season?

LR: A mix of experienced seniors and some talented underclassmen.

VYPE: What’s unique or special about the community of Claremore?

LR: Claremore is anxious to return to winning girls basketball.

VYPE: What do you hope your student-athletes learn from you?

LR: You get out what you put in.

VYPE: What is the greatest lesson your student-athletes have taught you?

LR: They can overachieve with the right support.

VYPE: What components/values are necessary to a successful coaching staff?

LR: Loyalty and communication.

LR: Surround yourself with the right people to grow with and learn from.
