Q&A with Claremore’s Amaeli Foster – Presented by Rib Crib
VYPE: What goals do you have for this year?
Amaeli: My goal this year is to just become better at my sport and to be the best I can be at
it.
VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?
Amaeli: Softball taught me that many things are easier to do with others or a team, than by
yourself.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
Amaeli: My favorite teacher would probably be my 6th grade English teacher, Ms. Carter,
which is now Mrs. Black. She taught me to believe in myself and that all things are possible.
VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
Amaeli: My dad inspires me because he has been through many things and from his
experience, he’s told me to just push through, believe in myself, and to pray about
everything.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Amaeli: This is a hard question because so many girls have touched my heart, but I’d have
to say Kiera Cox. She is so encouraging and just lifts up everyone, and you’ll never have a
silent dugout if she’s in there.
VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?
Amaeli: My favorite thing about being on a team is that when you are having an off day,
they’ll pick you up immediately. Being on a team has also taught me that doing something
is better with friends, than trying to do it by yourself.
VYPE: Who in your family is the best athlete? Explain.
Amaeli: My dad, my mom, my brother and I are all good athletes. So it’s hard to pick just
one.
VYPE: What’s one sport you wish you could play that you don’t already play?
Amaeli: I wish I could play basketball again because it helped me stay in shape all year
round.
VYPE: What’s your go-to pregame song?
Amaeli: “Danger Zone” by Kenny Loggins.
