VYPE: What goals do you have for this year?
Jazmine: My goal this year is to go out with a bang. It’s my senior year and I would like to leave with a state title and a couple of new records. And most importantly, girls I can call family.
VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?
Jazmine: It has taught me to be patient. Life throws you so many different things you just have to gather yourself and trust the process.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
Jazmine: My favorite teacher is Ms. Warden. I had her my junior year for yearbook and I will hopefully get her again this year as well.
VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
Jazmine: My mom inspires me. She’s very hard working and always makes sure me and my little brother get wherever we need on time even if it’s just her.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Jazmine: My friend Amaeli Foster. She doesn’t know it but she keeps me on my toes and pushes me to work hard to show that I can be a better person.
VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?
Jazmine: Getting to meet new people and make new friends who I consider family.
VYPE: Who in your family is the best athlete? Explain.
Jazmine: My dad is the one who’s always helped me no matter what, and my mom and brother both love to run, but I’m gonna have to say my brother. He’s super fast and can run for a very long period of time.
VYPE: What’s one sport you wish you could play that you don’t already play?
Jazmine: I would love to try and play volleyball. I feel like my height would be very helpful.
VYPE: What’s your go-to pregame song?
