Head Coach – Travis East

There is a lot to be excited about in Verdigris and head coach Travis East is eager to get things underway. “We have a very experienced team and a great group of student athletes. We return 10 starters on offense and nine starters on defense. We have several high character players who are great leaders in our program. We are very excited about this upcoming season and several players who have started for multiple years,” said coach East.
Dylan White (6-0, 180, Sr.) was a very productive player throwing for 2,415 yards and 19 TDs last season. He also rushed for 307 yards on 55 carries and scored four times. White has weapons like Caden Parnell (5-11, 175, Sr.) in the run game. Parnell rushed for 1,019 yards on 143 carries with 11 TDs. He’s also a threat to catch the ball out of the backfield. Tyler Mitchell (6-2, 175, Sr.) accounted for 20 receptions for 356 yards and two scores while Dalton Person (5-10, 160, Sr.) added 30 receptions for 404 yards and a score. Mason Mittasch (5-9, 170, Sr.) adds another weapon to the arsenal. Mittasch rushed for 856 yards and seven touchdowns last year. “We are a very balanced offense. We do a great job of with our rushing offense and a great counter with our passing attack. We distribute the ball to many different players,” said coach East.
