VYPE: When and how did you first start playing golf?
Simran: I started playing golf my freshman year of high school. I decided to play golf because of my dad who plays with my uncles and cousins. I wanted to be able to play with my dad someday. Now we play together when he isn’t working!
VYPE: What is the greatest lesson you’ve learned by playing golf?
Simran: The greatest lesson I have learned playing golf is to be patient and to be consistent.
VYPE: What does golf mean to you now?
Simran: Golf means much more than just a game, it brings a fun challenge, competitiveness and best times and joy with family and friends.
VYPE: Which teammate, past or present, has left the biggest impact on you?
Simran: There is more than just one teammate who has left a big impact on me. Lily Beller and Tyler Finch have both left big impacts on me. Lily and Tyler both pushed me everyday to be the best and never give up.
VYPE: What advice has a coach given you that you won’t forget?
Simran: Before every tournament, coach [Zach] Gray encourages us to not give up and to just have fun.
VYPE: What are your post-high school plans?
Simran: My plans after High School are to play golf in my free time and join the golf club at the University of Tulsa where I will be attending this fall. I am also going to teach my little sister how to golf so her freshman year she can join the high school golf team!
