After a 22-win season, head coach Michael Buntin and the Lady Cardinals are hungry for more. VYPE Top 100 selectee Kate Wiginton (5-5, Jr.) makes her return after averaging 10 points, and 2.0 steals per game while shooting 40 percent from the three-point line. Wiginton will start at guard with Brynlee Brown (5-7, Sr.) who averaged 8.5 points and 4.0 rebounds. Add Maddy Daniels (5-2, Sr.) to the mix with her 6.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 3.0 steals and you have a solid trio. But it gets better for Buntin, and the Cardinals as Bobbi Jones (5-8, Sr.) makes her return at forward after suffering a season ending injury last year. Several underclassmen will dot the lineup this season. Grace Waters (5-4, So.) at guard, Paisley Sparks (5-7, So.) at forward, and Daycee Meeks (5-8, So.) at forward are three sophomores looking to add to the overall success of the squad. Several freshmen are going to get a look this season as well including Jackie Beauchamp (5-4) at guard, Rilyn Stringfellow (5-8) at forward, Addie Russell (5-4) at guard, Averie Deegan (5-8) at forward, and Callie James (5-4) at guard. Assisting coach Buntin are coaches Bryan Wesson and Stacia Roberts.
