Claremore’s Veronika Armstrong – FFA Spotlight – Presented by Oklahoma AgCredit

Claremore High School

Claremore High School’s Veronika Armstrong was encouraged by a teacher to get involved in 4-H, which led to her joining FFA when she was in the eighth grade.

“My first grade teacher encouraged me to become involved and she was later my ag teacher,” said Armstrong.

Now a sophomore, Armstrong said she loves showing her livestock and being on the show team at CHS.

“I show dairy cattle. The thing I enjoy the most is the time I get to spend with my show animals and the bonds I make with them.”

Armstrong also participates in FCCLA and cheer.

“My favorite memory as a cheerleader is when we tour the elementary schools and get to interact with the little kids and experience how excited they are to see us; the thing I love most about my teammates is that we all encourage each other to be better and we lift each other up,” said Armstrong.

After graduating from high school, Armstrong plans to attend college and work towards becoming an OBGYN. She said her mother has been a big influence in her life.

“The person who has been the biggest influence in my life is my mom. She pushes me to be the best I can be, and she supports my future aspirations

The sophomore offers some advice to anyone wanting to join FFA.

“Go to as many events as possible; have fun and make lots of friends.”
