CLAREMORE ZEBRAS

Coach: RANDY RUTHERFORD

2024-25 Record: 12-12

OUTLOOK

A new era begins for the Claremore boys basketball program as coach Randy Rutherford takes over the program. Coach Rutherford has several players takin the court who can help this team win now. Last season the Zebra’s went 12-12 and with another year of experience and a good summer, the team is shaping up to compete every night.

“New coaches, new players. Will have size and have some speed. Looking forward to a great season. We will run a motion offense and man defense. We will get out and run,” coach Rutherford said.

Tobin McGill (6-7, Jr.) is the first player you will notice for the Zebras. At 6-foot-7, McGill will play forward giving Claremore someone who can battle for rebounds and get to the rim on the offensive end. McGill will have some help from small forward Nolan Sherl (6-3, Sr.). Sherl brings experience and leadership to the floor and is versatile enough to hit from the outside.

Mike Tarver (5-11, Sr.) is a quick guard who will help the defense get stops and push the action in the transition game. Tarver will have some help from sophomore Cooper Mason (6-0). Also look for Jamari Hughley, a versatile point guard with tremendous upside.
