VYPE: What is your most memorable sports memory?
Summer: The first time that I went under a minute in my 100 freestyle was a pretty memorable moment for me.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
Summer: My favorite teacher is Mrs. Bonnitta. She taught me so much more than academics. She taught me life skills and it gave me confidence. I will forever be grateful.
VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
Summer: I am inspired by the Olympian’s sacrifice, determination and discipline. It encourages me to work harder.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Summer: My best friend, Taylor White. We push each other in the pool daily. She supports me when I go through my challenges in life (not just the pool). She has definitely helped me push my limits.
VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?
Summer: I swim competitively for Trident Aquatics. A few of them are on my Claremore High School team. We swim to improve our own individual times but we train together as a family and support each other.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?
Summer: My dream summer vacation would be Italy or Greece with my family and bestie, Taylor.
VYPE: What is your best advice to younger players?
Summer: You get out what you put in.
VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.
Summer: I would like to thank my parents and my brother for being so easy to talk to. I am very thankful for Coach Sean Callan. He believed in me before I did!
